RING SIZE GUIDE

Two simple ways to find your size at home, no special tools needed. It takes two minutes.

  •  Method 1: Using a ring you already have 
    1. Pick a ring that fits well on the same finger.
    2. Place it on a ruler so the inner edge of the ring sits on the 0.
    3. Read the number at the opposite inner edge. That is the inner diameter in millimeters. Don't count the band thickness.
    4. Enter the number in the calculator below, or look it up in the chart.

  •  Method 2: Measuring your finger 
    1. Cut a thin strip of paper, about half a centimeter wide. Make sure the material doesn't stretch: paper or stiff ribbon, not rubber or elastic string. Stretchy material gives a size that's too small.
    2. Wrap it around the base of your finger, snug but not tight, and mark where it meets with a pen.
    3. Lay the strip on a ruler, from 0 to the mark. The number in millimeters is the circumference, and it is also your size number.

  •  Good to know 

  • -  Measure at the end of the day, when your hands are warm. Fingers are thinner in the morning and in the cold.

    -  Measure with something that doesn't stretch. Paper or stiff ribbon gives an accurate size; rubber and elastic string don't.

    -  In between two sizes? Go with the larger one.

    -  For a wide band, go up half a size to a full size.

    -  If your knuckle is wider than the base of your finger, measure it too and choose a size that slides over it comfortably.

    -  Buying a surprise gift? Measure a ring she wears on the same finger, using Method 1.
